In-flight loss of consciousness in a fighter aircrew – G-LOC or No G-LOC conundrum

چکیده
The differential diagnosis for inflight loss of consciousness in a fighter pilot is G-induced Loss Consciousness (G-LOC) as it physiological and 10–20% pilots may experience during their career. However, very difficult to establish the many cases. Three cases in-flight episodes (LOC) have been discussed paper highlighting how investigate such G-LOC. where two were considered case G-LOC based on circumstantial evidence data from flight recorder. one was diagnosed be LOC (Inv). One did not benefit high-G training he repeatedly experienced “GLOC” at low G levels while wearing Anti-G Suit performing an Straining Maneuver (AGSM). He recommended unfit flying. Another aircrew experiencing due incorrect technique AGSM had undergone “high-G training.” After correction technique, could successfully meet qualifying requirements 9G high training. third LOC, exposure. Subsequently, Focal Cortical Dysplasia. describes approach aeromedical disposition among aircrew. also discusses need “G tolerance standard” entry first highlights that all G-LOC, even if occurs conjunction with Ruling out presence any potential cause extremely important before labeling recurrent second re-iterates fact there are set people who will able endure exposures inherent individual characteristics. These identified screened initial into flying itself. improper AGSM. problem corrected Dynamic Flight Simulator. This significance using High Performance Human Centrifuge commencement operational sorties establishes diagnostic tool In-flight poses challenge differentiation detail.

FIRMS – Demonstration of a Mapping System for Loc/ID Split Internet Routing in G-Lab
The interdomain routing system faces scalability and flexibility problems caused by the coupling of endpoint identifiers (EIDs) and routing locators (RLOCs) in today’s IP addresses. More scalable architectures (e.g. LISP [1]) based on the locator/identifier (Loc/ID) split paradigm are currently developed [2]. They separate addressing into two separate parts: the EID, which identifies an end sys...

G-induced loss of consciousness (G-LOC) has emerged as an important operational problem of high-performance aircraft. Since it appears that G-LOC will continue to be a problem, a requirement exists to detect its occurrence in pilots so that the aircraft may be placed on autopilot. One excellent method of detecting G-LOC physiologically, one would assume, would be based on the oxidative status o...
